Ms. Brandi Clappsy, MA

Ms. Clappsy graduated from New York University (NYU) in 2022 with her Master of Arts in Cinema Studies. In 2020, she graduated from New Jersey City University (NJCU) with a Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts. Her areas of expertise include filmmaking, film history, media theory and business, philosophy, and film aesthetics. She began as an adjunct professor in colleges like NJCU and Rowan University, before eventually becoming a full-time English and Film teacher here at Hudson Catholic. 

Outside of school, Ms. Clappsy owns a collectible hobby shop in Bayonne that she runs with her family. She is never without a book in hand and is always happy to talk about the latest movies. She commonly tells her students that “Film is chaos… but so is life."
