Ms. Jacinda Velzquez, Head Coach Mrs. Sharlyn Castoire, Assistant Coach, P '24, '28, '29
Jacinda Velazquez serves as the Head Coach of the Hudson Catholic Cheer Team and is also an upper-level Science and Math teacher at Hudson Catholic. She began her journey at Hudson through the Admissions Department before transitioning into the classroom and coaching. With a background in basketball, wrestling, and cheerleading, Coach Velazquez brings a unique perspective to the program. Under her leadership, the team blends traditional cheer skills, dance, and stomp-and-shake, fostering an inclusive and spirited environment for all athletes. "Blending tradition and innovation to inspire the next generation of athletes.”
Coach Sharlyn Castoire joins the Hudson Catholic Cheer Team with over eight years of competitive cheer coaching experience from Jersey City’s Liberty Cheer program. As a proud Hudson Catholic alumni parent, she is deeply rooted in the school community—her son and daughter are currently enrolled, and her daughter is part of the cheer program. With her background in competitive cheer and dedication to Hudson Catholic, she helps guide the team in skill, spirit, and tradition.
