Student Services

 The Department of Student Services at Hudson Catholic is dedicated to supporting the academic, emotional, and social development of all students. Our mission is to create a positive and inclusive environment that fosters personal growth, academic success, and college and career readiness. We provide a wide range of services, including academic counseling, college and career planning, social-emotional support, and coordination of services for students with individual needs. Through collaboration with teachers, parents, and external resources, our team ensures that every student has the tools and support necessary to thrive both in and out of the classroom. We are committed to helping students navigate high school with confidence and prepare for a successful future. 

College Counseling 
- Assists students with identifying college and career goals aligned with interests, strengths, and aspirations. 
- Supports students through the college application process, including applications, essays, resumes, and interviews. 
- Advises on standardized testing (SAT/ACT), financial aid, scholarships, and application deadlines. 
- Coordinates college visits, information sessions, and career exploration opportunities. 
- Writes letters of recommendation and advocates for students in their college applications. 
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of college admissions trends, requirements, and financial aid programs. 

Mental Health Counseling 
- Provides individual and group counseling to support students dealing with challenges. 
- Conducts crisis intervention and risk assessments for students in emotional distress. 
- Collaborates with teachers, administrators, and parents to plan strategies supporting mental and emotional health. 
- Refers students and families to external mental health resources. 
- Promotes wellness and mental health awareness through initiatives, workshops, and campaigns. 
- Maintains confidential and accurate records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
