Mr. Anthony Romano has dedicated his adult life to Catholic School Education. A native of Jersey City, he has worked at Saint Aloysius High School, Marist High School and presently, Hudson Catholic Regional High School.
At St. Al’s, he served as a religion and physical education teacher as well as head boys’ basketball coach for 22 years and athletic director for 14 years. At Marist High School in Bayonne for 13 years, he was Dean of Students, religion teacher and boys’ basketball coach. At Hudson Catholic Regional High School, Mr. Romano is the Dean of Students, peer ministry coordinator and associate girls’ basketball coach.
An avid fan of the New York Knicks, Rangers and Mets, Coach Romano works for Madison Square Garden and Basketball City in NYC, he also coordinates a girl’s basketball league for Jersey City Recreation during the summer months.
Mr. Romano was awarded the Hudson Catholic Educational Professional of the Year 2025, his attitude in daily life is simple, “Faith Not Fear.”
