Ms. Maria Ferdinandi, M.A, M.Ed

Ms. Ferdinandi began teaching at Hudson Catholic in 2005. However, her association with the school goes further back with two brothers who are alumni from the 80’s and 90’s.She has taught Literature at all grade levels including Honors and AP. In addition, she created and taught a course on Speculative Fiction: Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror. After school hours, Ms. Ferdinandi is the moderator of the Anime Club.

Says Maria: "I have a Master’s degree from St. Peter’s University and know three languages: English, Italian, and Spanish which is useful when discussing written forms of literature. I share my love of books with students and encourage them to think creatively and look at issues from different perspectives."

Ms. Ferdinandi is active in her parish and has been singing in the church choir since she was 10 years old. One of her favorite places to travel to is Italy, where she usually goes during the summer months.
